Thousands of Trump supporters under the guise of a protest of the 2020 election, entered the nation’s capital in Washington DC, and unlawfully invaded the United States Capitol building while Congress was in session debating objections to state electors.
It appears based upon what happened, that this was a planned coup d’état that was encouraged by the outgoing Pres. Donald Trump to overturn the 2020 United States election which he lost, in his favor.
The insurgents and terrorists who entered the state capital building unlawfully fought with police, destructed federal property, and trespassed into congressional offices. VP Pence was evacuated from the building as well as lawmakers.
Donald Trump incited his followers by falsely claiming the election was stolen from him by fraud, to go to Washington DC to get the Congress to change the results of the election.
Donald Trump’s son made a threat to Republicans stating that if they did not support his father, that “they would be coming for them.”
Rudy Giuliani also appeared to threaten violence as well.
